The Scene

New Walthamstow. The Scene will replace the big empty square. Flats, shops, cinema. We're joining the real world. Good or bad. Cinema good, we haven't had one for years. Homogenisation of the town centre, maybe not so good. Actually felt quite tearful - I feel like I'm turning into history as I stand.

Exciting times for Walthamstowe! My son lived there for 6 months but it was rather a long commute to Amersham where he works!
