Oh my, perfect description! It's amazing how some things just adapt to whatever conditions they are forced to deal with. Great shot, Brad!

Interesting texture here. Where did the roots go? Are they that small normally?

Very thought provoking. I like it.

For the tree or you? (: Is it still growing or are you trying to remove it?

Brad, I will pray for rain in your life. This tree is crazy! Never seen anything like it. Wild that you found it or you might have paid to have it removed. Interesting subject matter.

OK I give up....tell us more please.

This palm is around the block from my house, just off the sidewalk. It looks like it's still growing and thriving. I don't know what caused it to go over like that, but I'm guessing it went into emergency mode and tapped down deep with what it had left.

Thanks Brad! It's incredible that it has been allowed to grow like that! Here in SA the municipality would have removed it :( very cool shot btw!

Great shot. :) Hope the tree keeps thriving.

It struck me as I was walking through town today, I look at everything for photo possibilities. You always take it a step farther and see, not only the posibility, but, simultaneously, the caption. I'd never want to be in a verbal sparring match with you, Brad...you're invincible!

I have a neighbor who had a tree that was leaning like this for almost two years ... it got no human attention or care ... it just laid on its side for months on end. And it continued to thrive. New neighbors have now moved in and have placed it upright again and have given it loving care. And then I have had trees that I lovingly cared for and they died anyway. It really does make you shake your head.
