Morning has broken, like the first morning
Blackbird has spoken, like the first bird
Praise for the singing, praise for the morning
Praise for them springing fresh from the Word.
Sweet the rain's new fall, sunlit from heaven
Like the first dewfall, on the first grass
Praise for the sweetness of the wet garden
Sprung in completeness where His feet pass.
Mine is the sunlight, mine is the morning
Born of the one light, Eden saw play
Praise with elation, praise every morning
God's recreation of the new day.
@minilou@robv - I'm not such a big fan of the Cat Stevens song, but I heard it plenty in my early years. The title felt appropriate for this pic, and when I went to Wikipedia I discovered it was originally a hymn, which made it even more appropriate for this shot taken at a church retreat at Rancho Magdalena in San Diego. Even if I hear Cat Stevens ('cause that's what he was called when he was singing it) in my head. :)
