Light a candle

Tonight I went to see The Book Thief. (Great movie, probably enjoyed the book more - but great adaptation and performances) Anyway this put me a bit of a melancholy reflective mood.

I took this photo last year on the day my mum had major surgery. Spent that day in the park and hanging around a local cathedral (where i took this photo) and the hospital..

Very appealing! Your comment about consulting google regarding low key made me laugh! The other day somebody said one of my pics was high key and I had to google it!

This is a powerful image. I loved the book version and haven't seen the movie yet. Sounds like I shouldn't miss it.

@taffy thanks Taffy. Yes it was calming when i needed it… and it now reminds me and makes me thankful that mums health has improved. (she actually would have died before Xmas 2013, had she not had the surgery,)

I saw the movie recently too. Like you it made me reflect about my mother who was a girl in London during the war. Lovely photo
