Hi! So I've been away for a week - some of that totally out of the radar in the wonderful National Park Tongariro - for those of your who know or live in New Zealand. Went to a wedding at the Chateau Tongariro and then did some local exploring!
This photo on the Tama Lakes walk - a 6 hour hike to the lakes that lie between Mt Ngauruhoe and Mt Ruapehu in the National Park which is also a World Heritage site on our doorstep.
Just glorious. This area has it's own microclimate. We were lucky with the blue sky and sunshine. Today the weather in this region is rain! Glad I'm now back home.
(Why not add the tag "UNESCO" as there are many other photos shown there!) This looks like a soul-nourishing place! A get'away and off the radar is something more of us need now and then! Lovely area!
