Homemade basil pesto - dinner is served

Friday night carb fix. Not the best food photography shot but it is the best pesto I’ve made in a while! 😋

@kali66 my basil was very slow to start....but in pots in the north facing sun it’s taken off now
The stuff in the garden is pathetic!

Tried a variation on pesto last week: celery leaves, almonds, parmesan, lemon zest, extra virgin olive oil, small clove of garlic. The zest really gave it a zing!
