Clay is the best soil to grow on.
I did have a look on the map and indeed , there is an open connection to the sea so there must be a tide. I could n`t a tide table for this area . As it is far from the open sea t would be less.

@pyrrhula very nice, thanks for the tide info, the pic just looked as though grab a boat and slide it to the water or let the water come to the boats!!, I do add a little clay to my soil as it is very sandy close to Lake Erie, When I lived in Virginia the soil was red clay a little too much though!!
That's definitely not a dusting! I could understand this if it were April 1st (April Fool's Day) but we're almost half-way to May. Do hope this is your last go around. (Does make a pretty picture though)
