My display is almost finished

A few days ago Hans and I went cut us some pine, spruce and cedar for me to make a christmas display from. well yesterday it wasn't too cold outside although we had a cool breeze coming over the lake so I set out to start my yearly outdoor christmas display and today I was going to decorate it. well it didn't work out that way as I woke up feeling dizzy and after breakfast very squeazy. I'll spare you the details. needless to say I spent almost all day on the couch either resting or sleeping. oh well tomorrow is another day.

Beautiful tree

Greenery and lights are always good!! Make sure you keep wrapped up warm and, if you are so inclined, have a couple of Uncle George's famous cure - Into a glass put 2 measures of whisky, 1.5 teaspoon of sugar, add boiling water - twice the amount of the whiskey, and if you like, a little lemon juice. You can swap honey for the sugar also. Never fails to revive my patients!!

@darsphotos Darlene my bloodpressure changes so drastictly..some days it's very low and on other like today again ..this morning it was 145 over 79..yesterday 109 (the top reading) and it seems to affect how I feel. I've always been 120 over 80 with a normal heatbeat of about 70 but that was before my heart problem started. I hope your feeling good.

You'll get it done Bruni! I hope you feel better soon. If not, this looks pretty to me the way it is- add a few little red balls and it's good to go! But then, I like things decorated simply.

@bruni I think about you so often and wish there was something they can do for you to make you more stable. I am sure it affects how you feel. I am doing well, extra meds for the Vertigo and ice on my neck and the back of my head if I shop too long like yesterday with my son. I still want to do things so push it sometimes. Take care and keep me posted on how you are doing.

we don `t think about Christmas before the 12-06. We celebrate first `` Sinterklaas `` although some shops don`t. a wonderful Xmas tree you find yourself the lighting and capture is wonderful

. @pyrrhula The tradition of Saint Nicholas Day, usually on 6 December (19 December in most Orthodox countries), is a festival for children in many countries in Europe related to surviving legends of the saint, and particularly his reputation as a bringer of gifts. The American Santa Claus, as well as the British Father Christmas, derive from these legends. "Santa Claus" is itself derived in part from the Dutch Sinterklaase -- we celebrated Sinterklaase as kids in Germany.. it's not so much know here where I live now but I always remember the 6th...
as to my picture..it's not a tree but all kinds of different twigs like pine, cedar and spruce. I stuck them into a pot with earth and Hans put the lights in. now I've decorated it a bit and took a picture of it.. will upload it in a little while ..so please have a look later. Again I like to thank you for your comments and comment replies.

Oh Bruni ... do take care of yourself. Don't overtax! I know you want to decorate for the holidays, but take your time. You've got plenty of time still. I do hope you're feeling better as I write this comment. The photo of the tree lights is very nice. It looks like the holidays are here now. Sending positive thoughts and hugs your way.

@prttblues Thank you Bev..you're just too kind. I'm feeling good. glad that my display for the outside is done..still have to decorate inside...Hans has been baking up a storm..cookies galore..he tried something different today...an old German recipe he remembers these cookies from when he was a kid...he even called his sister to get the recipe..the cookies are called Berliner Brot..they remind me of italian cantuccini..(which I have seen but never tates). anyway I like his new cookies. should you be interested go on google and type in Berliner Brot. Dr. Oetker has a page which you can translate into English.
