While waiting in one of the consultation rooms high up in the Medical Arts Building across from the hospital I killed some time taking pictures. here we're overlooking Davis Drive all the way to the next major intersection.
Grace took the afternoon off work to accompany me for my first cardiac evaluation after I had the ablation done.
I have good news. the cardiologist was very pleased with yesterday's ECG and also the readings he got from when I was wearing the holter for a period of 48 hours. the next step is now for me to slowly get weaned off some of the medications by reducing them to half strength. on April the 1st at my next evaluation they will further reduce the medications..it's a slow process but I hope that eventually I'll be ok without having to take any. only at that time do we know if the ablation was a success.
Beautiful photo ... and wonderful news! So happy to hear your good news, Bruni. You really went through alot with it. I hardly knew that I had mine done .. it was over quickly and I healed fast. Have a Blessed New Year, Bruni.
@allie912 I hope so too Allison..now if I only could put some of the lost weight back on.. 15 pounds is a lot to have lost..my clothes are way too big on me now. I'm so thankful that the new heart medication is working and that there were no more episodes since I'm taking it. in April this medication will also be reduced.
@karenann I'm so glad that your procedure went so well and without complications. I don't wish for anyone to go through what I had to although the cardiologist says that that was normal. well they have to say something I guess. I also wish you and yours a Blessed New Year. Thank you much for caring Karenann.
@leilaboyd Our Christmas was also very quiet. Hans, my husband is sick since last Sunday and missed the Christmas Eve get together at my son's.. he is spending all day on the couch most of the time sleeping. flu like symptoms and a terrible cold and caugh..Im lucky I didn't catch it. yes my news are finally good ones and I'm so glad not only feeling so much better but being told that it looks promissing and hopefulle in 3-6 months I might get off all medications..what a relief that will be. Thank you so much for caring and for New Years wish. I also wish for you and yours to have a wonderful 2013.
Oh, Bruni, I am so happy for you and so glad to hear your good news. You sure have been through a lot and are such a strong woman. I bet your hubby and family are so happy. It is going to be a wonderful new year for you and a great way to end 2012. I love your photo by the way. I need to catch up on your other photos also. Take care and thank you for stopping by and letting me know to check in.
Oh that is fantastic news!!! Yay for you!!! What exactly is an ablation? My boyfriend had to have stent put in. Is that the same thing? What a gorgeous view you captured, which just adds to the news of you on your way to a full recovery! I'm so happy for you.
A beautiful view you`ve captured
