A different type of iguana by bruni

A different type of iguana

I've never seen one like this before but Hans claims there're now so many around. the Mayan Palace resort is on a 340 acre parcel and 3/4 of it is completely developed with condos, large swimming pools for which this resort is famous, golf course, restaurants, shops, etc. and the rest is under construction with some of the condos ready for occupance. Hans who enjoys walking is investigating the whole area and came across a new section. to get to it the new owners have to get shuttled from the actual entrance of the Mayan Palace but like I said Hans walked the distance. so I guess this is where he came across this ground dweller. some people say iguanas are only living in trees but it's not the case with the one you're looking at. this one is suppose to live in burrows or even culverts. who to believe. I tried to google it but they talk mostly about pet iguanas..

He is a looker! He is even posing for you!

Another great shot to Hans! Tell him he should join the 365 when he comes home! Even though you aren't able to be with him, you are there with him in heart and mind and he's sharing his experiences with you through the photos ... and you are sharing them with us! I love this fella's pose. He looks like he knows he's being photographed and looks proud.
