It's so much fun watching these sparrows fighting for a perch and then all of a sudden they're all flying away as if they had heard a starter gun. I've tried to catch them in flight with my camera setting on sports but missed them repeatedly..again a picture taken from inside through a long but narrow window. the massurement of the window without casing and frame is only 5'6" high and 20" wide. so I work with very litte space. we have four of them spaced out over the lenght of our sunroom.
@henrir We have different feeders for the finches..they don't go on this one..only sparrows and our mourning doves do, at night time some cardinals and of course the squirrels are trying to reach it but with the cone on top they can't.. besides they get anough from what falls to the ground.
Great shot, Bruni! That's a lot of sparrows! Try using your flash to catch them in mid flight. When the flash on your Kodak goes off, it basically stops things from moving. I learned that trick the first week I got my very first EasyShare! That's how I caught a hummingbird my first year as it hovered. It looks fake because of it. So give it a go with using the flash when you want to catch them in mid flight. This is a great shot. I haven't seen so many sparrows at one time. They must be hungry! Well done!
