Could this be a junco?

He flew in, looked up at the house, sat for awhile and took off again.

Great capture, Bruni. Don't you wonder what their thinking when they do that? I guess they have to scope out a potential home before they start building their nests. Awesome!!

@kerristephens I think a junco is a genus of the sparrow species.

Great capture Bruni, love the orange coloured leaves behind him too. We had a pair of blue-tits checking out the spout of our water feature they went in and out a few times but obviously thought better of it, thank goodness!

Great shot, Bruni! I used the National Geographic's Backyard Bird Identifier and it looks like it may be a House Sparrow. You got some really good detail in this pic. You're lucky you saw him when you did! Nice catch! Job well done! :)
