Friends of ours came visiting yesterday and we were so happy to see them. we chatted away for hours. Annette takes care of five birds over the holidays. some of her friends went on holidays and asked her if she would mind looking after their feathery friends. the green cheek conure belongs to her daughter who is also on vacation.Kiwi loves to snuggle up to Annette. she is seven years old and loves blueberries. they said she's belongs to the only species who is known to feed themselves by carrying their food to their bill with their foot, as you see here. Marc and Annette stayed for dinner and we had a great time catching up once again. it had been quite awhile since our last visit. both of them have demanding jobs while we are retired. we promised to get together more often. they love Hans's German cuisine and our lovely daughter Grace played the host so I could just sit back and relax. that is the life if only I wasn't still weak and needed lots of rest.
Sounds like a lovely visit! I know it's probably driving you crazy to just sit by and let everyone else do the work. You strike me as one who is a doer! But take your time getting back into things. And if your body says it's tired listen to it! You've earned the right to take a rest and it also sounds like your family is happy to help you out! Cute bird!
