Yellow peony by bruni

Yellow peony

Unusual color, found this one at Edwards Garden.
A filler for today.
Just spent the last 14 hours in the ER with AFIB. was admitted last night just before 10 pm with the weirdest Afib I've ever experienced. my heart rate would go way up and then drop like a stone to the point where I would feel dizzy and nauseous.
most of the time my heart rhythm was very irregular and stayed around the 157 heart beats per minute. no way could I sleep. then in the early morning hours it regulated itself and I was released with a slight change in my heart medication. I guess now at 1.30 pm I'll go for a nap catching up on my sleep.. will see you later.
A very beautiful flower. Oh, Bruni, that must have been so disconcerting!

Your medication doesn't sound as if it was working at all! John's medication slows his heart rate down and when he has AF, it doesn't speed up to 160 - more like 80. Poor lady - its a tremendous worry - you must think you are going to fall off your perch any moment!
This is a most beautiful colour for a peony!

@snowy Diana I feel like a normal person again. had a good nap and good news. my yearly appointment for a check up with my cardiologist was put ahead by a month, that is good news.

@maggiemae Maggiemae thank you for your comment. I feel so much better now. first thing when I got home, I made a call to my cardiologist's office and they were able to change my yearly checkup from Oct. 1st to September 3rd. that to me is good news. at one time last year my heartbeat measured over 260 beats and we thought there was something wrong with our OMRON Automatic Blood Pressure Monitor. the norm when I'm in Afib for me is between 155 and 189 beats per minute. sometimes I wait it out, but most the time it's a trip to the ER. I had two ablation done, one in 2011 and one in 2012. my Afib started with only a few episodes at a time way back in 2008.

@bruni September still sounds a long time away! There are lots of choices one can make with this problem as your cardiologist would hopefully tell you. Another friend with AF had electrotherapy which worked. John wasn't offered that!

@gijsje Bep I'm feeling better now. thank you for asking. the cardiologist at the ER came just before Lunch time this morning, increased one of my heart medication to double strength ( I only took 1/2 pill of a 5 mg dosage and am now suppose to take the full pill) it's suppose to slow down the heart rate. will have to see if it makes a difference.

Very pretty, like a lovely pom-pom.

@cejaanderson Thank you Jane for liking this beautiful flower. It's so good to be home again. two good things came out of this ordeal.
First a change in one of my heart medications. a pill which is suppose to slow down the heart rate. I only took halve of one and now am suppose to take the full one. take the first dosage this evening and will see if it makes a difference in my heart rate. my normal rate is between 64 to 70 heart beats per minute. I hope it only prevents me from going into AFIB. time will tell. 2nd. when I called my cardiologist I was able to change my yearly check up from Oct 1st to September 3rd.

Hope you get your heart sorted out and get back to your old rhythm!! I got really told off by the Drs when I had my heart attack as I walked to the hospital rather than call the ambos. Hate it when things go wrong!! Keep well.

A very lovely flower, Bruni. OMG - I am so shocked to read about your AFIB! I do hope that was a one off and that it doesn't happen again. I can't imagine how scared you were. I am glad you are better now. I do hope you stay that way for awhile! BTW - I got your email reply and will reply tomorrow. I am going through a few more pics and then calling it a night (errr...morning I guess since it's 20 minutes to 1am).

Hope you are doing better by now.

I hope you're feeling better now. I've never seen a yellow peony. Thank you for posting.... a fav.

You went through so much, Bruni. I hope this does not happen again to you. My new inhaler makes my heart rate go to 130 and then it drops but not like that and is driven by medication and not because my heart has a problem. I hope they do resolve this with checking you and monitoring you. How does one live like this, being so tired. It is hard being the patient and the one seeking help as well. Take care of you. Love your photo. Hugs and fav.
