Two houses over from the one across ours ( I can see it from our window) was a small cottage type permanent home, which someone bought for the lot. a few days ago, machinery was brought in and the next morning Hans said to me if you want to take pictures when they take down the house, you got to get ready early. they probably start at 8 am. at 7 am after my coffee I went to get dressed and when I came back down 15 minutes later, the house was already totally demolished. Hans was in our living room and when I mentioned to him that the house was no longer there, he said he hadn't heard anything and wasn't aware they started the demolition.
The two pictures which I used for the insert were taken that morning. the clean up went quickly and right away they started with the excavation for the new house foundation. since it rained Friday night and throughout Saturday and Sunday, a lot of water collected in the dugout because the whole excavated area is nothing but yellow and blue clay. I took the picture last night when we came back from our outing.
