We never seen one like him before. he sat at the feeder like this for the longest time without moving except for his head. don't know what he was looking at. maybe he fed first and then just relaxed. wonder if we'll see him again. I checked my bird book and believe it's a mountain chickadee. please correct me if I'm wrong.
Could be- although the pictures I looked at said it occurred more in the West but the eye markings are the same, so it could be one that got blown off course by a storm. No matter what it's a good shot!
