@paulaw and it's so easy to make, Paula. we take 750 ml bottle of vodka, one cup of sugar and one cup of berries. use a larger bottle, put it all together and keep on shaking it until the sugar is fully dissolved. then and only then store in a dark place for a few days. check once in a while and if you like the taste, drain it off the berries.. we keep it the bottle in a cupboard. no refrigeration required. dark colored fruit like elderberries or blackberries look really nice in a decanter. your right, it's for sipping.
