After the devastation.

Many of you might remember the picture of a heron crookery I posted in 2015.

The last huge storm plaid havoc around our lake, including destroying a large heron breeding area. most of the trees are down or broken off. the two pictures on the bottom show you what it looks like now.....almost all bare. the picture on the right still has a few nests, but I don't think the herons will come back here. we'll keep an eye on it.

Destroying in nature is often a chance for new fresh grows and replacements. Great collage showinh what`s happen

Oh dear, things will probably grow back, hope the heron return. So sad.

Great collage. Maybe the colony was too large and the trees do not recover.
