Magnolia tree

There're lots of magnolia trees around this complex. we're always interested and have to investigate.

Unfortunately, the flowering season is over and we didn't get to see the beautiful flowers. so what we see here is a cone shaped seedpod.

Once the seeds fly on the wind, the seedpod dies and falls off..
we found one with two seeds still inside.
