Lovely image. How did you get the pretty color chart framing on the two sides? I had to laugh at your "best looked at" comment. That is how I feel about some of my shots.
Thank you for all your great comments, a few of you have asked how these are created, so here were go:
1. I started by creating about 12 x single grey coloured 10cm square images (saved somewhere as 1 to 12). These are needed for the color blocks and can be used again and again
2. I then fire up www.PicMonkey.com and select 'Create a Collage'
3. Click on the 'Collage' Icon on the left (then second grey icon)
4. Select the 'L-egant' layout & the number of blocks you want.
5. Go to the section above the blank layout and select 'Open'
6. Select the main shot you want to use and then the number of grey blocks that you need (see point 1).
7. Now click and drag you images onto the template.
8. I then click on the 'Background' icon (bottom grey icon one on the left)
9. Choose a color the background (lines)
10. I then change the 'Spacing' to about 7 and the 'Corner Rounding' 10%
11. Go to the section above the blank layout and select 'Save' - Save this somewhere
* Now we have to select the colours... PicMonkey does not do this, although I use a free download program www.gimp.org I will continue with Microsoft Paint as most of you will have that.
12. Open 'Paint and then open the collage that you have just saved (somewhere)
13. Maximise the Paint window in you screen and Zoom out on you image so you can see it all
14. Under 'Tools' you will find a 'Color Picker' (it looks like a little pipette)
15. Click on your first color (the lightest one) on the main photo with the normal mouse button (the left one)
16. While you have this tool, you can select you second color by using the right mouse button.
15. Now you mouse it loaded with the first two colors, select the 'Fill with color' (the one that looks like a spilling can of paint).
16. Left click in your first grey box to paint it and then Right click to paint your second grey box.
17. Go back to step 14
18. Repeat step 17 until you have filled all your grey boxes and then click 'Save'
19. Your image is now saved somewhere and you can upload it here
20. Please tag me @bulldog when you give it a go, as I would love to see your versions.
