The Jerwood Library, Trinity Hall

This is the Jerwood Library which belongs to Trinity Hall, one of the Cambridge Colleges. It was opened in 1999 and is open 24 hours a day.
I think this is the bridge that David proposed to me on, on New Year's Eve just before midnight, many years ago. I said yes then all the church bells started ringing! Fav!

@louisefrance What a lovely story and thanks for the fav! @sunnygreenwood You're right, the college was founded in 1350 and the new library was built on to some ancient medieval steps. The library holds 30,000 books and the college was attended by Stephen Hawking, Terry Waite and Samuel Pepys. It is the fifth oldest of the Cambridge colleges and is said to be one of the prettiest.

Well, I can't compete with Louise's romantic recollection, but I can say it's an interesting looking building.
