A walk round Huntingdon

A glorious sunny day today and our daughter Katherine's 32nd birthday. We had some shopping to do and decided to go to Huntingdon. Oliver Cromwell was born here in 1599. The main picture shows the old Grammar school which Cromwell attended as a boy. It is now the Cromwell Museum. Sadly shut between 12.30 and 1.30 so we couldn't go in today. The inscription is a recent addition stating that Cromwell attended the school in about 1610. The middle picture shows All Saints church, and the bottom one St Mary's.
Nice collage - an interesting selection of historic buildings. It looks like a fascinating place to visit!

Huntingdon looking glorious and unlike me you didn't whine about the wind!! Happy birthday to Katherine - when I think what age I am I think 32 - unfortunately reality is a much bigger number!

A nice bit of history. The school evidently was not one of the buildings Cromwell knocked about!
