The Snowy Mespil

What - you've never heard of it? I have to admit that we didn't know what it was, so we looked it up and came to the conclusion that this is what it is. I've never heard of it myself, but it's a very pretty tree and is growing near here. The Collins book of trees describes it as 'a North American plant of doubtful origin grown widely in parks and gardens.'
