As promised - here's a photo of the finished chutney. I think I need a shop! I'm not good at managing amounts as I still have lots left from last year. Good job it keeps for two years! The two middle jars are a roasted tomato passata. It included some yellow tomatoes which explains the unusual colour.
How very satisfying Judith ....it looks lovely & you should be very proud of yourself!! All you need now is one of those old fashioned larders with shelves so that you can display them...you might have one already!!
@pistonbroke Well I haven't but it probably isn't legal. My kitchen hasn't been health and safety checked!! I'll sell some of it at the church fair on Saturday along with some lemon curd - I have some orders for that as it's got a bit of a reputation!
Judith this is a glorious display of your hard labour --but such a satisfying result . If you have too much !! it will keep for quite a few years as it is a well preserved product Don't let Pete buy it all --there is nothing like the home made variety !!!!!!!
A wonderful display of your work , it interested me when you said it kept for two years I have also made far more then we can use, but I have given some away.
@seanoneill well yes it's easy to make - everything gets slow -roasted in the oven. The worst bit is putting it through the mouli or passata machine. Mine doesn't work very well.
Enjoy!
