We have a large asparagus patch on the allotment and at this time of year it starts to grow thick and fast. I love the way it grows pushing it's way through the earth. The apple tree is covered in blossom this year. so fingers crossed for a good harvest. I liked the way the bluebells caught the sun this afternoon.
@lesip I think it's a Jonagold or a Jonagored, can't remember. It was a birthday present 5 years ago and it hasn't produced anything yet so here's hoping for a bumper crop this year.
good harvest promise there. I have asparagus but they are always so spindly - not like that. It should be a bumper fruit crop this year (fongers crossed.) Our pear trees are covered in blossom - not sre about the apple as I think we overpruned a couple of years ago and it is sulking.
