Peter is looking for some documents, so we decided to tackle the loft today. First step was to take everything out - and this is not all of it! Old curtains, a hand made rug, toys, suitcases, unwanted cutlery and books. You may recognise Raggedy Ann - minus her pinafore which I received as a gift when we were living in Canada. Also a Fisher-Price Magic roundabout puzzle which I'm told is worth something on ebay today. Next step the tip and the charity shops!
Amazing what one finds tucked away in the attic- I dread to think what is up in mine and I am not able to go up there now ! You have an interesting lot here Judith - love your Raggedy Ann !
Always easy to put into but not easy to clear. This looks nice and tidy and well organised.
I find lofts are like garages, you always hang onto things you think might come in handy and you never touch them again! We moved 23 years ago and vowed we would not use the loft ever of the new house, it took us 3 days to clear what we had thought might come in handy in the old house, it all went to the tip and charity shops!! Apart from some photos, suitcases and my daughters uni books we managed to stand by our promise but the garage is another story!!
