Apples - ready or not!

This little apple tree is grown as an espalier and was a birthday present four years ago. These are the first apples which are big enough for eating. I'm looking forward to trying them but not sure if they're ready yet, it seems too early. Saely I can't remember the name of them and can't find the label.
