I remember it a few time. Winter 90/91 was the worst I remember. Very wet fall so the tree roots didn't have support. Add to that 1/2"+ of Silver Thaw and lots of trees came down. My mom was out of power twice in a two week period. 10+ days total.
@mcrt Perhaps that it was that I didn't have a need to go out into the weather during those periods. Not having to go to work was a break for me. Now that I treasure the fact that I can come and go as I please, when you are locked in, it bothers you.
There was the time it started snowing up at Keyport (contractor at the time), we "watched" the low pressure dropping south (early internet and a co-worker was a pilot), when we got to an inch of snow on the cars, we all started to bail. Got home, nothing, then it hit, three days without power but had water pressure the whole time if you were careful. Always appreciate the power crews that work in this type of weather.
@joysabin I used my wife's macro lens on this one and did notice that it was sharper. Thank you for a second opinion. So it might be the lens and not the camera that is fuzzy-wuzzie.
