Progress

After finishing this area, then looking for the reason why things didn't line up on the horizontal...The deck in the upper portion was suppose to be level with the third of the porch that I took this picture from. Matter of fact, the floor of the building that you see was was suppose to be on that level also.

Nope, that deck is four inches lower than planned, the blocks that I put down were way out of level (going away and down). So out they came, down they went and now are to spec.

Steps for the porch is the next project. 18 1/2 inch drop, from the right side to ground level.

Now I have to make some more stones.

Looks like a lot of work, but your effort is paying off - looks great!

@cmuir1963 Thanks. It is, but I enjoy making the blocks. It is a little difficult to do all the bending, getting up and down putting the blocks in place, but I have been shedding some pounds, so I can keep working longer. Now if the normal September cool weather would arrive, without very much rain, I can really make progress.

Love the pattern on the stones with the greenery either side. Now are you being on the level with me, is that green step horizontal or is the ground coming up towards it. The plot thickens, good capture.

@ladymagpie The green at the top is the facia on that deck. It was taken with an 18mm lens so there is some distortion. Ground level is 18 1/2 inches from the top of the deck in what you see and around the corner.
