So our cat is very active, and plays with her toys all the time. She throws them up in the air and freaks out running around.
Imagine my surprise when she stops playing with the "toy" and I see it go running across the kitchen floor and into the living room. I thought it was one of her stuffed toy mice.
Nope. She didn't kill it, just kept chasing it around. I didn't have the heart to kill it. So I captured it, and let it go outside. Then our cat meowed at the door like crazy.
Hahaha! My cat brought one to our bed one night and played with it until I chased her and her friend downstairs. I did the same thing you did - set him free. Last time I saw him, he was running down the driveway as fast as his little feet would take him.
My cat was playing with her 'toy', got tired and then preceded to just sit on the poor little creature. I actually felt sorry and captured it to re-locate it in the field across the road. This is a very funny image.
thanks everyone! And I don't think I could handle if the mouse got to the bedroom / bed, hahah.
Its been about a week, and now everytime our cat Claire bats her toys up in the air, I catch myself double checking to make sure it's just a toy and not another mouse!
p.s. glad I'm not the only one who did "catch and release". My friends / family said I shouldn't of let it go,because it will just try to find a way back in the house.
