Geranium flower heads are made up of lots of smaller flowers. This is a close up detailing one of them.

I love geraniums, they are the one plant that seems to thrive in our garden with no care whatsoever. Whether hot or cold it still soldiers on.

Such a beautiful red - one of my favourite flowers - so tolerant all weathers , sat undeterred through all that hot weather and now having had a few showers of rain seem to have blossomed so much
