Riseholme Lambs

Riseholme agricultural college, as it was when we first came to Lincoln, is now part of Lincoln University. The public can drive through, but there aren't many stopping places. This was the only place I had seen lambs so far this year, so I went off yesterday to photograph them.
Such beautiful strong lambs!

A sweet capture. Is the dye on their wool a way to spot them if they get out of the enclosure?

@louannwarren yes I think so & it identifies them as belonging to that particular farmer.

@louannwarren @carole_sandford A sheep farmer I knew used the colors to identify parentage. This was important for certain kinds of wool or meat- sometimes even disposition.

Great shot!
