FoR2021 This puppet was taken home from Sicily 40 ago by my husband who at that time worked there. AS you can see this puppet has been through many battles and he even lost one leg ;-)

What a classically. beautiful puppet! The construction in wood and the beautiful hand-made nature is obvious and captured well in black and white to accentuate its timelessness. You inspired me to photograph mine (I needed a filler for December so I was walking around my house looking for something).

@caterina Ooohhh -- that's a plan! I've never been to Sicily. In fact, I've never been south of Bologna much except for Rome. My puppet was a gift, and it was in my office up until last week. I just brought it home when I closed out my university office. So when I saw yours, I couldn't resist getting mine out of the box and photographing it. Every year I think -- this is the year I will do FoR but then, I end up doing something different. This year, it will be all squirrels, with a FoR variation on Valentine's Day.
