Lanzafame Sebastiano's Orlando for Opera dei Pupi

Inspired by Caterina's post,I decided to photograph my puppet, too. Her puppet is classically handmade as a wooden puppet, mine more commercial in construction. Thus, I thought it appropriate that hers was black and white and timeless, whereas mine is in full color. Her description is so well written I will simply point to what she wrote:

Backposting as a filler for an empty day in December. (sorry for confusion)
How cool!

I think the black background really makes your puppet stand out. Nice capture.

@cwbill -- my daughter bought a used backdrop screen to use at her wedding and then they decided not to use it so I inherited it. I bought a black velvet fabric and voila! I have a home studio. :)

Wonderful. Fav. Do you remember how much we looked for a black backdrop? It must be somewhere in a closet, because without you I have never used it!

@caterina it's always so much more fun to do creative photography with a friend, and I'm finding that I like the drama of a black backdrop a lot. Plus it covers up all the things I don't want in the background. Let's play with yours our time together!

A wonderful puppet. I love Hendel's opera.
