For the Breast Cancer Awareness Month many monuments in Italy are illuminated in pink, the colour symbol of the campaign This is the Arena in Verona. The campaign is an annual international health event organized by major breast cancer charities every October to increase awareness of the disease and to raise funds for research into its cause, prevention, diagnosis, treatment and cure. The campaign also offers information and support to those affected by breast cancer.
First off, wonderful photo. I would like to see that in person one day. How cool. I haven't seen that many antiquities in person, but in Jerusalem they light up the walls of the Old City at night. But not pink. We have similar awareness month here too. The athletes wear pink shoes and the like. Love the composition and exposure and the wet cobblestones in the foreground. Fav.
