For the Something Forgotten challenge (also nf-sooc). When I was young I was an enthusiastic stamp collector but as I grew the stamp collection was forgotten. After my mother passed away I found it among her things and since my own children were pretty much grown I thought I might save for my grandchildren. So I put it a box under the stairs and forgot it once more. Now that I actually have grandchildren I'm pretty sure they wouldn't be interested. "You did what with a stamp? Put it on a letter? What's a letter Grandpa?" So I guess it will go back in the box after I photograph it for this challenge and be forgotten yet again.
What a great collection and story. We have stamp collections that go back years too and I don't suppose any of our grandchildren woild be interested in them. So many things from our past will be forgotten
Awesome! Hey, perhaps your grandchildren will grow to appreciate the old ways of communicating.. My dad used to collect stamps as well. Anyways, love the lighting here and the story behind your collection
But I do see a number of Aussie stamps there. Those 10/- and 5/- stamps at the bottom were real treasures at the time
