It is 102 degrees at 3pm in Cincinnati according to the thermometer that is on my heat pump. Some of you may live with temps like that on an ongoing basis - but not us Mid Westerners. This is unusual. We are watering the garden like crazy and so far so good. The national forecast says 108 tomorrow and 101 on Saturday. I really hope it cools down before our Independence Day.
We have plans for the night before to go to a Balloon Glow and Fireworks. What a photo op.
Thanks to all of you that read my journal about my Grandfather and commented yesterday. I think I needed to tell it. Very cathartic to talk about a man that only lives now in my heart.
The same temps going on here .... how beautiful this yarrow is! A beautiful symbol of summer. Our weather will be like this through the week-end. I don't even like to to out and shoot photos in the heat. Hopefully it will cool down by the 4th.

It is on Kellogg Ave. on the river. They have a huge pool you can see on the website and an amusement park probably geared towards younger kids. But on the 3rd they have hot air balloons from all over come in and do the glow and then fireworks at 10pm. I've never been but so want to go this year. What a photo op! We are planning to go depending on weather. Let me know if you go - we could meet!
Beautiful shot! This is some unusual weather that is going on on east of Texas. Last summer was dreadful for us. We have had several 100+ days here, but the last few days have been below 100. It must be terrible for folks that are not used to it.
