Look who we just came home to. He is just the cutest. He (and I use the term loosely) has been hanging around my neighbor's back yard - maybe living under their deck. He is so tame he couldn't have been over six feet away from me while I was sitting on my back steps - where I used to sit so many years ago with my Dad watching the birds and the squirrels while he drank his coffee.
I really needed to see one of the cutest guys ever. We had gone out to dinner and stopped on the way home to pick up a new fan to blow the AC upstairs better - did I say it was 104 in Cincy today? On the way home my husband slowed over a set of particularly nasty railroad tracks. This guy, with the family in the car, came flying around us on a side street! He starts yelling about handicapped folks shouldn't be driving. Now yes, there is a handicapped sticker hanging from our mirror. I hardly ever use it but if I am particularly sore I do. My 57 year old husband, who just never gets angry, rolled the window down and says to him something along the lines of my wife has a fractured hip and what an example you are setting for your children.
Still can't quite believe that someone behaved like that - or quite how it made me feel.
Such a cute little bunny. (Shame on that man--bad enough acting that way, but your husband is so right: what a great example he was setting for his children!!!)
@janets Isn't he just the cutest thing you ever saw? @allie912 You got that right. I still can't believe a man did that. @yonnie And I can't believe that Tom thought to say that but it was so true. I was so stunned I didn't even hear it all. @grammyn We were talking on the way home what it would be like to live with a guy like that.... @wannabe He was meant to be there. I sat on the steps for about 10 minutes and just talked to him while he nibbled on the grass and the fallen rose petals.
Wonderful capture, Cathy! I love the wild hares as long as they stay out of my veggie garden! LOL! I'll bet your husband put that man in his place! I'll bet he thinks twice before he yells out his car window again! I say BRAVO to your hubby!
Super cute and such great detail! :) And what an obnoxious man who yelled at you! Katy nailed it... your husband set a wonderful example for those children! :)
What a cute bunny - lovely capture of him. As far as the jerk in the car, for some reason, people often act like first class jerks when they get behind the wheel. I tell my sons (who are both driving now) to ignore jerks like that because they are obviously having serious issues. Good for your husband to tell that rude jerk off!
This bunny is totally adorable! A great shot, I love the details. 8) Sorry to hear about your unpleasant encounter with that rude and disrespectful driver. Some people! 8(
That is the cutest little guy! Great capture! The lighting and color are so nice. I'm so sorry about the rude jerk who yelled at y'all. All i have to say to him is one word...KARMA.
Ahh, glad you found this little fella after all that! I love the light on his fur and in his ear! I feel a bit sorry for ther rude guy since he must have something lacking in his life to behave in that awful way. Your husband is a much better, and obviously a way happier and intelligent man!
Lovely shot - thank goodness there is some softness in the world to counteract rude people like him. And gentlemen like your husband to redress the balance too.
Lovely cute shot!!Pity about your miserable driver...maybe,one day he'll suffer and realise that motability is just as necessary for disabled people, too!!
Love the expression - the bunny seems very demure.
Sorry to hear about the other drive - with people like that I think the only thing you can do is rise above & remember, what goes around, comes around.
Beautiful shot of the sweet bunny. Some people are so rude. I imagine those children were probably scared riding with him. A man tried to run me into oncoming traffic on a country road, coming up on the right side of me, his lane was ending. He was laughing, thinking it was funny to run an old lady into traffic and his wife was yelling at him, I think trying to get him to back off.
Just trying to catch up - this is so cute and I'm so glad that you had good cheer waiting for you at home. I find myself driving more cautiously as I age and also have to put up with this kind of behavior. I simply think that we have learned how important it is NOT to behave like this idiot. . .
