The challenge for today was to take a picture of your hometown - so I did. I always say that I am from Cincinnati, Ohio. If I said I was from Norwood nobody would know where that is. Norwood is a city in and of itself. We are totally surrounded by the city of Cincinnati. We have our own school system and local government. I could have gone downtown and gotten a much more spectacular shot but I decided to share our city hall and the main drag. See the big pine tree there by city hall? Well when I was a child they always had a little house by that same tree at Christmas time. The story goes that folks took me up there to tell Santa what a wanted (and this only child got a fair bit at Christmas) and Santa was drunk as a skunk. My folks weren't happy.
Thank you all. This really is middle America at it's best. I had the best of both worlds growing up. The small town atmosphere of Norwood and the big city of Cincinnati all around us. So, values and variety.
This looks like classic America to me - I'm always amazed how wide your streets/roads are!
