Green Eyed Monster

This is the tiny Moonbeam Coreopsis - to give you an idea of the size of this little butterfly. And is he ever fast! I was lucky enough to get this hairy head shot. I love my macro lens - my best treat so far, photographically speaking. No cheap hobby we all have in common.

We are going to a minor league ball game this evening with church and I'm sure I'll take the point and shoot but probably won't post when I get home so I had to find something. Tomorrow we go to Indy to see Michael, Michele and Garrett. Apparently, the neighborhood pool is heated so I hope to get to go swimming with my boy.
Ah, there's a butterfly in there going stealth. Almost missed her!

Fabulous shot. Does your macro lens have image stabilization? Such wonderful focus.

I'm heading to Indianapolis next week to see my newest great granddaughter (so excited). I hope you have a fabulous visit and a wonderful swim!!!!

Fantastic capture - so clear

@cromwell Isn't that funny - for some reason I always think of them as "hims." I know it took a lot for you to even look at it as there are flowers present.

@yonnie Definite stabilization. I rarely use a tripod and you wouldn't believe how many shots get ditched due to clarity. I am having fun now with manual focus - not for this one though. So we both have great grandchildren!!

@judithg That is why I used this shot. I had some side views of wings but liked this better,
