So I finally got an intelligent phone. At least that is how it is billed. I got an iPhone - not the newest generation but one back as that was on sale. I did it mostly to keep in touch with that little voice that just moved away. I don't hear all that well and always hated my last phone. This one really is better.
I finally got around to using the photo capability. I'm not all that impressed. I think it is grainy. Maybe there are tricks to iPhone photography that I am unaware of. We'll see.
If anyone knows how to make better use of the camera please let me know!
good on you. been planning on getting an iPhone because my only use for it would be to make sneak shots on the train - kind of hard to do that with the normal camera. but i'm still a hold out. i don't use cellphone that much and i hate being on the phone, too. i think the grainy texture gave the shot some character.
I have seen some very artistic phone shots so it can be done. I'm like you and rarely use the phone so I put my money in an iPad. I think your choice for your first phone photo was brilliant. Using technology to picture technology!
I don't know which phone you have or what resolution is has, but this looks like it might be noise from low light? You didn't zoom in, did you? That makes my smart phone grainy even in good light. They are best for daylight outdoor shots. (My other problem with using it for photos is that I have tremor and it's really sensitive to blur.)
I couldn't live without my iphone, and it is very handy for taking the odd shot when desperation for a photo of the day sets in. Mine also come out grainy, but when you think about it it is a phone! Iave seen some great shots taken on them but I think they are all edited. There is an app called PS Express which I use that is great.
Lovely capture. My mobile is one of those early Nokia and it still works perfectly so I don't see any need for changing it to a more sophisticated one.
I think the generation back iphone (is it a 3 series?) is not as good as the new 4 series. I had a 3 and have now got a 4 and have noticed a big difference. Also, I think some of the camera apps are better than the inphone camera... camera+ is good and also 645pro. Snapseed is a good editing app too or as Karen says PS Express. Good luck and have fun experimenting, camera phones are great to catch some discreet candid shots as you just pretend you are reading a text or something!
@jackie8 Cathy, I agree with Jackie. . .camera+ is about the best app there is. I do think the iPhone4 has better camera technology, but that's the way everything works in the iWorld. . . as soon as you buy one, out comes better, faster, smarter!
@jackie8 I just bought the two apps so we will see what happens. It is an iPhone 4 but not the 4s......
Thanks for the tips. I will be trying it. @lyno and that is probably already outdated in the one they release at least before Christmas to lure shoppers. @yonnie Thanks Yvonne. @summerfield I hope to get some sneaky shots. @allie912 I'll be trying some shots @houser934 I shake a bit at times so I know what you mean. I never know if it is me or the camera @calm I think it will be fun. @tishpics she is, isn't she? I love technology.
@cdonohoue So do I but my iPad is refusing to send emails for some reason and so I can't upload any photos to 365 at the moment as I have to email them to myself first! Main desktop has just expired and new one not here til next week! So not too keen on technology just at the moment!
Thanks for the tips. I will be trying it.
