This is our third or fourth day of rain. I love drop shots, you all know that, and since I have a thing about only letting Mother Nature provide them I should be a happy camper. And I am - but I would love a little sunshine in the mix.
This is my favorite lavender rose. It smells wonderful - full bodied and sweet. When I stop and smell the roses this is always one of the first. Right now it is practically taking over our sidewalk but I can't bear to prune it back until I have smelled every last rosebud. It is not one that I can take a chance on missing, especially this late in the year when each and every bud is precious.

Pretty! We have had rain here all week as well. I looked like a drowned rat today after walking my students to the bus and getting caught in a sudden downpour. I should have photographed the water pouring out of my shoes.

Truly gorgeous... and would you send a little of that rain our way, please? We haven't seen rain in a long, long time and I think the fire fighters would really appreciate a little help.
