I was out running all kinds of little errands this evening, one of which was the camera store. I was going to take a shot of that, but of course I forgot. We stopped at Yagoot - think wonderfully tart yogurt with your choice of toppings. I took this of the shops at Rookwood.
cool....i like it.....our whole country is full of these strip mall/reg mall shops....it will be the kind of shot that people look at a long time from now...to see what our daily lives were like!
I was in your neighborhood earlier this evening, Cathy. I came down from work (Dayton) and passed home (Mason) to get to my optometrist in Hyde Park to pick up a new contact lens (if you saw my "what expenses have you incurred" thread, you'll understand...) I shot some pictures in Ault Park, I'm posting some of them now.
@sjoblues You come quite a way to go to the optometrist! There are lots of restaurants at Rookwood - we should all meet for dinner.
Your panorama was gorgeous. What a day we had today. If this is global warming......
@vskolnik I have eaten there and I like the Mexican gumbo? I don't know if that would be ethnic - but it sure is good. @sticksandstones I think the stores are becoming universal. We no longer know what something is like in another part of the country because the country is becoming all alike.
@maggiemae Shops here stay open until 9pm. @grammyn Don't you have the same ones? This is a little piece of an outdoor mall that went in several years ago close to my house and is becoming much more the thing around here than the enclosed malls.
Sadly all our high streets are looking the same here too..........could be anywhere...........our tiny local Town called Rye only has 1 store that is a chain and that is the chemist, very unusual but the streets are very narrow, this could be over here too, but we don't have yogurt shops!!
the light is beautiful her cathy and the exposure is spot on ....i might have cropped the bush out in the bottom left corner as it catches the eye and distract from the light and the main bits of the shot
