This is the banks of the Ohio from the Kentucky side looking back at the city of Cincinnati. In the foreground is the old Mike Fink's restaurant. Cincinnati is a river boat city - the original economy was founded here, on this river. This restaurant was in it's hey day in the early '80's. It has been long shut down with a tattered sign that says "closed for remodeling." We went to a cool BBQ restaurant, Eli's, last night and then crossed the river to see the sunset. Thank God, and I mean that sincerely, we are to have a decent day today with temps climbing to the 50's with no rain. I need to get busy and get my house a little cleaner. I am going to a raptor lecture tonight at Spring Grove and am excited about that. Tomorrow we are going to Indy to see my boys. I hope to catch up on my commenting some time this afternoon.
Beautiful sky and skyline. Too bad about the decline of the riverboat restaurant. I guess these things come and go. Maybe it will spark someone's entrepreneurial spirit soon and truly be remodeled. Have a wonderful visit with your sons!
Lovely! My aunt lives in Louisville and we cross the river to I guess it is Indianapolis to,stay at the Sheraton....eat near the river. Reminds me of this! Sounds like you had a good time!
