Actually, an orchid baby. I got one of those just add ice orchids and it seemed to be biting the dust. I moved it into my bathroom with higher humidity and it is going to bloom again!
Thank you all so much for putting my "Evening at Zion" on the PP. I thought I was never going to get a shot off of the Trending page again. Your comments and fav's mean a lot to me - more than you know.
Wow, that is huge news. This is so beautifully focused. And yeah to make the PP again. It's so tough to do now. Your vacation shots have all been amazing!!
I had to toss out the orchid plant that I tried to save for my son's girlfriend. I see so many people purchasing them and have no idea how they keep them alive and have asked. Congrats on your new baby orchid.
@cdonohoue Thank you so much, Cathy. I did not have hers in the sun, I had it in our house, then outside but it did get early morning sun and I did repot it into a clay pot with special bark like things and cut back the roots per something on youtube. I messed up from the beginning. The babies on hers died and then the flowers did. I will keep your instructions in a special place and when they have a sale on orchids will try one of my own your way. Please tell me what I did wrong. It is ok if you say everything as I have a feeling that is the case.
@darsphotos direct sunlight kills them as does cool air. I had to move mine out of their wonderful bathroom spot yesterday as we have turned on the air conditioning and as that room is smaller that will kill them. They are incredibly delicate. I spend time at our Conservatory and watch what they do. The last one I bought was a $9.99 and right now it is still gorgeous. Good luck.
