So, this is the progress since yesterday on my orchid baby - and you can see two more buds behind it. I am so excited about bringing an orchid back from the brink. I've had a lot of house plants over the years, killed my fair share, but I really hope to keep these alive.
Sorry for no comments today. Gina stayed after church and helped me tackle the attic. This house has been in my family since 1951, the year I was born. The linoleum that was in my room is upstairs in the attic on the floor - ruined, but you can still see the nursery rhyme characters. She helped me go through lots of boxes to figure out what was what. The big score of the day is my grandmother's cookbook in her handwriting and a genealogy of her family that I never knew existed. So we laughed and I cried. We have boxes to keep, to get rid of and more to do - but at least we made a start.
Lovely shot and what a wonderful find in the attic. That can be very difficult work both physically and emotionally - how great to re-discover your grandmother's cookbook and family genealogy - priceless!
