It's been a rainy day in the heartland. I know that it is nothing compared to what other parts of the US is dealing with. My house is tight and my utilities are all working. Cincinnati sent crews south before the storm ever hit. I think it is so wonderful that it happens that way. The year that we did get hit by the remnants of a hurricane we had crews from all over helping to restore power. I got to go with my Pastor to the home of one of my favorite older ladies this afternoon. I love to listen to the old stories - even if she did tell them more than once. She is teaching me patience.
Such a luscious colour! So nice to see people from all over pitching in - some crews from Ontario Hydro, Quebec, and Nova Scotia have gone south to help.
What exquisite detail and color Cathy! At times like these it is nice to know that all our differences in religion, politics, and philosphies are put aside as we recognize the basic truth that we are all alike.
