I had so much fun today. I got to go with Ashley, my granddaughter, to have Mason's four month pictures taken. Being a great grandmother - GiGi to the kids, is one of my best gigs. They are so very much fun to be around. I got Ashley when my son married her mother. She was 16 so we didn't get those early bonding years. But we have done a really good job of it since then. When she got married and had little ones of her own we got to step right into the great grandparent roll.
And of course Mason is having his picture made by a pro that runs a studio out of her home. She does a phenomenal job. I always think I will pick up some tips but today I was entertaining 2 1/2 year old Aiden - and that is quite a busy job.
We got to have the crew stay for dinner as we made plans to do a Fall outing this weekend.
Life is good.
Being a grandparent (or great-grandparent) is the best gig in town! I always joke that I wish we could have the grandkids first - no discipline, just love and lots of fun!
