Live Oak

Forms in Nature- Day 5
I am participating in the "Flash of Red" challenge- Black and white photography for the month of February with a flash of red on February 14. The theme for the first 8 days is "Forms in Nature." The Live Oak is another tree often seen in South Florida. They are protected by law and cannot be cut down, even when growing on private property without heavy fines. I took this photo at Topeekeegee Yugne (T.Y.) Park in Hollywood, Florida, but we do have four Live Oaks growing on our own property. Looks best when viewed on black.
They are stunning trees, I have just been watching a programme on British TV about the Live Oaks in Magnolia Gardens in Charleston and also in new Orleans, made me definitely add this to my bucket list!
