Cattleya Orchid

This beautiful Cattleya orchid recently bloomed on the live oak tree in our backyard. The bloom is very large, and the color is really pretty.

@randystreat Thank you for your comment on my orchid. Yes, we have a variety of orchids growing on the live oak trees on our property. I was hesitant at first, thinking they would need a lot of care until the nursery guy reminded me that our climate and humidity here is very much like Hawaii where they grow wild. He was right, here in South Florida they bloom over and over again and require very little care.
